Dr. Jill Weber—a licensed clinical psychologist—specializes in treating adults, adolescents, and couples. Dr. Weber offers expertise in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. She treats a wide array of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, anger management, parent/adolescent communication, relationships issues, stress management, conflict resolution, and marital discord.

Education and Experience
In 2003, Dr. Weber received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from American University. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Virginia Counseling and Psychological Services and a post-doctoral residency with the Fairfax County Community Services Board.
She has advanced training in psychological assessment and psychotherapy and extensive work experience in university counseling centers, community mental health centers, and private practice settings. She also has completed specialized advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Besides Dr. Weber’s private practice, she has also served as a staff psychologist with Fairfax County and has taught a graduate psychology course on adjunct basis.
Dr. Weber has received additional training from the:

- Georgetown University Counseling Center,
- University of Virginia Counseling Center
- Washington DC Veterans Affairs Hospital,
- Psychiatric Institute of Washington, and
- Mary Ainsworth Attachment Clinic (Charlottesville, VA).
Research and Commitment to Her Craft
Remaining current in best practices for treatment and research advances in the field of clinical psychology deepens Dr. Weber’s passion for and commitment to helping people.
Dr. Weber has conducted various research projects examining adolescents’ emotional experiences and how both gender and environment impact them. In addition, she has conducted research examining the effectiveness for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in reducing self-harm behaviors.
She has presented her research at regional conferences like the Eastern Psychological Association.
